Our LA Angels Offseason Grade: C-
Although, the Angels acquired/signed a good amount of pitchers which they needed, they were not many significant additions. No top free agents signed. They were either coming off a poor season, were injured most of the year, or getting old. If at least half of these new additions can come back to their true potential then our grade may change to an “A” but it’s realistically hard to see that happen. Best case, they have added 2 solid starting pitchers, a new closer, a stronger bullpen, and some more offense. Let’s see.
Their biggest move was trading Taylor Ward and they never really got his replacement. They traded for Josh Lowe and signed Jose Siri to a Minor league contract but as of now they are poor replacements. Angels biggest addition was probably acquiring Grayson Rodriguez who has the potential to be the Angels next ace. Let’s see.
