Dave Roberts said Gavin Stone got a scan on his right shoulder, which showed inflammation but not structural damage. Roberts said “We dodged a bullet.” Stone will be no-throw for a couple weeks. Yesterday, it was announced that Stone had suffered a setback with his shoulder and is not throwing at the moment. The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing back reliever Yency Almonte on a minor league deal, per Fabian Ardaya. The reliever battled shoulder trouble after the Dodgers sent him to the Cubs along with Michael Busch. Hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2024. Almonte, 31, spent 2022 and 2023 with the Dodgers. In 2022, he had one of his best seasons in his career posting a 1.02 ERA, 33 K in 33 games. The following year was much worse but Dodgers fixed him before. Can they do it again?
