Snell and Edman Return Date
Roberts said Tommy Edman and Blake Snell are progressing. End of May for Edman is when he should be an option, Roberts said. Snell around the same time. Snell has been dealing with a lingering issue with his shoulder. Hopefully taking it slow brings him back to fully healthy by May. Edman had ankle surgery in November. 🔵Follow us for more Los Angeles sports scores and news! #ladodgers #dodgersbaseball #dodgers #dodgerblue #itfdb

Espinal Good Chance To Make Roster
Dave Roberts said today of Santiago Espinal: “It’d be hard to imagine him not being on the team.” Espinal is 8-for-14 (.571 AVG) this spring, playing multiple positions defensively, and fitting in “seamlessly” in the clubhouse, Roberts added. Espinal signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers last month and it’s starting to look like a steal. 🔵Follow us for more Los Angeles sports scores and news! #ladodgers #dodgersbaseball #dodgers #dodgerblue #itfdb

Gavin Stone Update
Dave Roberts said Gavin Stone got a scan on his right shoulder, which showed inflammation but not structural damage. Roberts said “We dodged a bullet.” Stone will be no-throw for a couple weeks. Yesterday, it was announced that Stone had suffered a setback with his shoulder and is not throwing at the moment. Today’s news is considered good news but shoulder inflammation is what made Stone miss all of last year. Hopefully it doesn’t affect him this year. 🔵Follow us for more L

Dodgers Sign Yency Almonte
The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing back reliever Yency Almonte on a minor league deal, per Fabian Ardaya. The reliever battled shoulder trouble after the Dodgers sent him to the Cubs along with Michael Busch. Hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2024. Almonte, 31, spent 2022 and 2023 with the Dodgers. In 2022, he had one of his best seasons in his career posting a 1.02 ERA, 33 K in 33 games. The following year was much worse but Dodgers fixed him before. Can they do it again?

Dodgers Offseason Grade
LA Dodgers Offseason Grade: A+ It only took 2 major signings to make it a successful offseason. They picked up the best free agent to help in the Outfield and a top closer which they desperately needed. For a team that has won it back-to-back seasons, there’s not much else you need to upgrade. Their worst offensive hitter, Conforto, is now gone and in a way upgraded to Tucker. It’s tough to lose Kershaw to retirement, Gonsolin cut, Banda traded, etc but the Dodgers are just t

Dodgers Sign Santiago Espinal
The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed INF Santiago Espinal to a minor-league contract. Espinal, 31, has been in the league since 2020 and was a 2022 All-Star. He started off his career as a good hitter but has been on the decline. In his All-Star year, he had a .267 AVG and .692 OPS in 135 games. Edman To Begin Season on IL
Dave Roberts said Tommy Edman won’t be ready for Opening Day as he recovers from offseason ankle surgery. The Dodgers have plenty of options, including Hyeseong Kim, Miguel Rojas and Alex Freeland among them. Edman, 30, has been massive for the Dodgers the past few seasons. Right-handed reliever Evan Phillips and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a one-year, $6.5 million contract. Ben Rortvedt who was just claimed recently was DFA’d to make room on the 40-man. Phillips, 31, is coming off Tommy John surgery and is expected to return around July. He spent the last 5 seasons with the Dodgers and has been a top reliever for the Dodgers over the years. Dodgers DFA Anthony Banda
The LA Dodgers are designating Anthony Banda for assignment to make room for the Ben Rortvedt claim. Shocking move as Banda was a key part of the bullpen the past few seasons with the Dodgers. He did have an awful postseason last year allowing 6 runs in 5.2 IP but shouldn’t have warranted a DFA. Banda’s time with the Dodgers is likely done unless no one claims or trades for him which most likely will not happen. Thank you @anthony43banda! 🔵Follow us for more Los Angeles spor

Dodgers Claim Ben Rortvedt
C Ben Rortvedt was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers. The Dodgers will need to DFA someone to make room for him in the 40-man roster. Rortvedt, 28, was part of the Dodgers postseason roster and was 4 for 7. He was DFA’d back in November and Reds claimed him then DFA’d by the Reds a few days ago. Solid depth move by the Dodgers but unknown if the Dodgers will DFA him later on. Guess he will have to prove his worth in Spring Training. 🔵Follow us for more Los Angeles sports sc

Dodgers can’t seem to decide who they want on their 40-man roster. Siani has been claimed by the Dodgers 3 times in the past few months and DFA’d by the Dodgers twice.
