RHP Ben Casparius Called Up; RHP Brent Honeywell Jr. DFA’D

The Dodgers selected the contract of RHP Ben Casparius and designated RHP Brent Honeywell Jr. for assignment.

Casparius, 25, was drafted by the Dodgers in 2021 in the 5th round. He is the Dodgers No. 23 prospect. This year he played in Double A and Triple A starting every game. Casparius went 5-4, 3.48 ERA, 95 K, in 18 starts in both leagues.

Honeywell was a solid reliever for the Dodgers but they desperately need fresh arms. He had a 2.21 ERA in 10 games with the Dodgers. Hopefully they can get him back.
