Galaxy to Acquire Former Defender of the Year

The LA Galaxy are closing in on a blockbuster deal to acquire former MLS Defender of the Year Jakob Glesnes from the Philadelphia Union, per Tom Bogert. Not done, but final details now.

Agreement between clubs is north of $1m GAM + add-ons.

Glesnes, 31, won MLS Defender of the Year in 2022, is a 3x All-Star, and has led Philly’s backline for the past six seasons.
