Drew Doughty Is Back

The LA Kings have activated defenseman Drew Doughty from injured reserve (IR). Additionally, forward Samuel Helenius has been loaned to the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.


Doughty make his season debut tonight. He had been recovering from surgery to repair his left ankle which he had fractured. Doughty’s last appearance on the ice was during the late September preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights. He has been sidelined ever since, missing the Kings’ first 47 games of the season.
