C Ben Rortvedt was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers. The Dodgers will need to DFA someone to make room for him in the 40-man roster.
Rortvedt, 28, was part of the Dodgers postseason roster and was 4 for 7. He was DFA’d back in November and Reds claimed him then DFA’d by the Reds a few days ago. Solid depth move by the Dodgers but unknown if the Dodgers will DFA him later on. Guess he will have to prove his worth in Spring Training.
