The Dodgers acquired OF Esteury Ruiz from the Athletics in exchange for RHP Carlos Duran. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred RHP Kyle Hurt to the 60-day injured list.

Ruiz is a speedy player who had 67 stolen bases in 2023.

Dodgers sent back minor-league pitcher Carlos Duran in return

Ruiz has options, so will likely go to triple-A.
