Carlos Vela, a true LAFC legend, has officially retired from professional football after an incredible 19-year career.
Vela leaves the game as LAFC’s all-time leader with 152 appearances, 11,194 minutes, 78 goals, and 59 assists. He made history in 2019 as the MLS MVP, scoring a record-breaking 34 goals in a single season.
At 35, Vela isn’t going far—he’ll stay part of the Black & Gold family as the club’s first-ever Black & Gold Ambassador.
