Angel City Sign Emily Sams

Angel City FC has signed defender Emily Sams via a trade with Orlando Pride in exchange for $650,000 intraleague transfer funds.


Following the 2024 season, she was named 2024 NWSL Defender of the Year, earned Best XI First Team recognition, and was selected to the NWSL Best XI in both May and September. In 2025, she appeared in 27 matches with 24 starts and logging 2,362 minutes during the 2025 season.
