Goaltender Petr Mrazek underwent hip surgery Tuesday and will be out for the remainder of the season. Mrazek, 34, appeared in 10 games with Anaheim this season, posting a 3-5-0 record following his acquisition from Detroit on June 28, 2025. He was part of the trade that sent John Gibson to Detroit. Leo Carlsson underwent a procedure today in Los Angeles to treat a Morel-Lavallée lesion in his left thigh. Carlsson will be out of game action for approximately 3-5 weeks. Devastating news. The Anaheim Ducks have traded for LW Jeffrey Viel of the Bruins for a 2026 4th round pick. Viel, 28, was undrafted and has 10 games with Boston this season, no points, 30 penalty minutes. 64 career NHL games, with all 3 goals and 2 assists coming with San Jose in 2021-22. In AHL last season, he had 13 goals, 24 assists, and 148 penalty minutes in 68 games.
